The army has announced that its troops have rescued one of the Chibok schoolgirls kidnapped by Boko Haram extremists more than two years ago in a pre-dawn raid on Saturday on a forest hideout.
According to report by Associated Press, a statement from army spokesman Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman said that the Chibok schoolgirl was rescued alongside her 10-month-old baby boy fathered by a Boko Haram fighter.
It will be recalled that the federal government secured the release of 21 of the Chibok schoolgirls after negotiating with Boko Haram.
