Trouble erupted between Pantami and Dabiri-Erewa over an office Communication Ministry gifted to the Diaspora Commission but allegedly took it back.
The office in question is the fifth floor of the newly built Communications and Digital Economy Complex at Mbora area in FCT.
Dabiri-Erewa said the minister ordered and supervised the eviction of NIDCOM staff while she was in Ethiopia on national assignment. She accused Pantami of using police to execute the forceful ejection saying the executors carted away a number of valuables belonging to the commission.
The former House of Representatives member’s allegation was made via series of tweets including a male chauvinist slur against the minister.
In his reaction, he said Dabiri-Erewa’s claim was a farrago of fictions and lies tweeting, “This is a fat lie from her. The owner of the building @NgComCommission has faulted her lies on their social media platforms. The minister has never given that directive to any gunman. We need to be very objective in reporting. I have never sent any gunmen there, and I have no one.”
