The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on Wednesday reeled out prerequisites to be met by governorship aspirants on the party’s platform ahead of the Bayelsa and Kogi gubernatorial elections scheduled for later this year.
Oshiomhole shared out the conditions on Wednesday night while inaugurating the governorship screening committee, saying before any aspirant would be allowed to contest in the party primary he must have been a card carrying member for at least a year.
He explained that those who have spent less would require a waiver from the National Working Committee (NWC) to contest adding that in the case of Kogi and Bayelsa, any aspirant must have supported the party financially for a minimum of year.
The inaugurated 14-member screening panel is headed by Senator Hope Uzordinma.
