Singer, Yinka Ayefele is marking the 20-year-old anniversary of his auto crash in Abeakuta, the Ogun State capital on a wet day that confined him to the wheelchair since then.
The Tungba creator has been granting interviews, recounting the accident that claimed his spine and about forty people’s lives, and the incidents that followed.
“After the accident, everyone jubilated when I had an erection one afternoon. I was wondering why they were rejoicing and they told me the doctors said I would not be able to have an erection again. They had reached the conclusion without my knowledge,” the 51-year-old told Punch of how doctors’ opinion that the accident had made him impotent turned out to be false.
He also spoke of the awkward moments he was attending The Synagogue Church of All Nations looking for miracle and hoping to regain his full health in another interview.
“In those moments I was looking for miracle, a lot of people advised me to go to the church(Synagogue) and I took the pain to go then. But unfortunately he(Prophet TB Joshua) couldn’t see me on the first, second and third day. I think on the third day he sent someone to give me N5,000 for transport back. That was about 17years ago and so I decided not go there again.”
