A sizeable portion of women from  Alaba-Oro, Mosafejo and Amukoko areas of Lagos on Thursday descended on the premises of Eko Electricity Distribution at the company headquarters in Marina, to protest over six-year epileptic power supply.

The protesters who carried placards with various inscriptions, according to report, prevented workers and visitors from entering EKEDC premises and caused traffic gridlock.

Report said some of them were heard saying their husbands had abandoned their respective homes due to the epileptic power supply in the areas.
