Woman begs court not to dissolve her marriage after pouring hot water on husband’s manhood
Mrs. Kafayat Adelakun, a house wife, who poured hot water on her husband’s manhood has begged an Ibadan customary court sitting in Idi Ogungun Agodi not to dissolve her three years old marriage to her victim.
Mrs. Adelakun told the court not to dissolve the marriage saying she still loves her husband in spite of alleged ill-treatment and lack of care by the plaintiff.
She admitted that she poured hot water on her husband’s manhood adding that it was intentional.
She explained that the hot water mistakenly poured on her husband when he wanted to beat her.
The plaintiff, Adeyinka Adelakun, a middle-aged public school teacher in Ibadan, yesterday, narrated how the defendant poured boiling water on his manhood, causing him serious injuries.
He told the court that he has not been able to use his manhood for any sexual act since the incident happened on 27, February 2016.
“The pain was too much. I was rushed to a hospital due to the severe injuries I sustained, and I stayed in the hospital for months.
“Even I cannot use my injured manhood for any sexual act till now because it has not healed and I decided to quit the marriage to avoid untimely death. I am afraid of living with a woman that wanted to finish my manhood because she may do more harm.”
