Virgin pregnant with first child after using sperm donor

A 29-year-old virgin simply identified as Lauren, from a deeply religious community in Manitoba, Canada, is expecting her first baby after using a sperm donor to get pregnant.

Lauren who is expecting her first baby in June  went against advice from her family, friends and doctors, and says that she is looking forward to being a virgin mother, Vice, a Canadian online news medium reports.

The paper said the pregnant lady is suffering from hypopituitarism, a rare disorder that affects her hormones and has had a significant impact on her from a young age. It means that Lauren experienced puberty far later in life than a lot of her friends and peers – something that they were well aware of.

Lauren also admits that she finds dating to be pointless. She says that, although she has been on a few dates, it’s ‘just not for her’ and she prefers to focus on herself.

However, she confessed that after becoming pregnant, there have been times when she has thought about having sex with someone just to see what it would be like.

She told the publication: ‘I was born with hypopituitarism, which means my pituitary gland is not formed properly.

‘It doesn’t send the right hormonal messages to the other glands in the body, like the adrenaline gland or the ovaries.’

She said: ‘I got teased for being flat chested or having buck teeth. Kids would latch on to anything that was different.

‘A lot of that teasing has given me social anxiety to this day. My life started improving when I started looking like everyone else.’

Yet even her experiences with kissing have left her feeling awkward and unsure, and she says that kissing someone is not something that she wants ‘to relive’.

Dating websites have also failed to attract her, with Lauren saying that some of the messages she received from men online left her shocked and disgusted.
