Video of drunk pilot on his way to fly a passenger jet carrying 154 emerged
A video of a pilot allegedly showing up for work drunk before trying to fly a plane with 154 passengers on board has emerged.
The pilot identified as Tekad Purna, works for Indonesian low-cost airline, Citilink, and in the clip he is seen stumbling and repeatedly dropping his belongings as he went through security at Surabaya airport on Wednesday morning
The drunk pilot reportedly made it as far as the cockpit where travellers got to know of his state of intoxication when he made an incoherent flight announcement while preparing for take off.
According to Jakarta Post, passengers’ protest led to his replacement by another captain. It said two executives of the airlines have resigned and the pilot sacked.
