VETERAN MUSICIAN FATAI ROLLING DOLLAR DIES AT 85 OF HEART ATTACK

Nigeria’s oldest practising musician, Fatai Rolling Dollar, is dead. He died at the age of 85.

The musician fell sick in America where he went on a tour, and lost the money he made to petty thieves. It was said that the deceased was pained that he developed high blood pressure.

On arrival in Nigeria, he complained of inability to walk properly, and was subsequently taken to a private hospital at Ogunlana Drive in Surulere area of Lagos State.

The late musician was on sick bed in the hospital for over a month, before he finally passed away early Wednesday morning.

“Yes it is true, Baba is dead. He died this morning at a private hospital located in Ogunlana drive of Surulere in Lagos,” sources confirmed to orijoreporter.

It was further gathered that an organization (named withheld) which he was its brand ambassador footed the deceased’s medical bill long after he found it difficult to do so at several hospitals where he had visited.

The late musician was often referred to as ageless because of his agile performances. Perhaps his most popular song was one of his singles, ‘Won kere si number wa.
