Two lecturers in University of Mkar, Benue State: Joseph Leva; and Moses Tarnongo and five others, four of whom are Tarnongo’s wife and three children have been killed by a truck.

Their demises occurred at Ushongo Local Government Area of Benue along Ugbema-Adikpo Road after the truck driver in his attempt to evade police arrest rammed the vehicle into a Toyota Camry they were in, killing them in the process.
“The accident was caused by dangerous driving from the truck driver, who was trying to dodge a checkpoint. He crushed the occupants of the Toyota Camry, killing seven people and injuring one,” the Benue State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Aliyu Baba said.
