Too many jellyfish journalists now in Nigeria – Tinubu

The Co-chairman of APC Presidential Campaign Council, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has taken a jab at a part of Nigerian journalists saying, “there are some jelly fish reporters around Nigeria these days.”

Tinubu stated this on Friday on the heels of report that he slumped and was bedridden, which later turned out to be false.

Besides, the statement was also against the backdrop of insinuation about governors elected on APC platform fighting President Muhammadu Buhari. The rumour was sparked by the governors’ absence at a meeting of APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The former Lagos governor after a meeting between traditional rulers from the South West and Buhari in Abuja which he attended, discountenanced both claims in an interview with State House correspondents.

His word, “Fake news and whoever is manufacturing it, you better don’t believe them,” adding: “ the governors had to stay back home because we all don’t have to converge in one place to decide certain modalities when we can easily go back to them on what was discussed and what we expect from their states. That is what we call structuring in an election. There are some jelly fish reporters around Nigeria these days.”
