Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, has expressed doubt over his continued stay to guide the team as a result of off-field reasons.
Rohr, who has a year left in his contract with the Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, cast doubt over his readiness to see it out in an interview he granted after the Eagles defeated Tunisia to win the bronze medal at the Nations Cup in Egypt, citing off-field problems as reason.
He said, “Truth is that I love this team, I love Nigeria but there were so some problems. I have to take a little bit of rest and rethink if I will continue with Nigeria.”
The Franco-German has come under attack with opinion rife that Eagle’s performance in the competition was underwhelming, a position he was not in consonance with in the same interview claiming the future is bright.
His word, “The future is very bright, we have young players who can still progress and can still improve (because) there’s a very good spirit in the team.”
