A 16-year-old, Emani Kure, has slaughtered her father, Mr. Kusha Kure  in Abuja and accused her mother of having a hand in the killing, a claim the latter denied.

The Sun reported that the family lived at Karavan village, Bwari Area Council of the FCT where the incident happened on March 11, 2018 around 3:00am.

It said Mr. Kure, 40, provoked his daughter’s ire for not granting her wish to marry Nasiru Musa, whom she had been dating her for about two years.

Things took a very ugly turn on the fateful day when in the wee hours, the suspect sneaked into the room her victim was sleeping, stabbed him to death and fled the scene, the report said.

Emani was later arrested alongside her boyfriend, Musa, and during interrogation, incriminated her mother in the murder.

“I killed my father because he did not allow me marry my boyfriend, Nasiru Musa. We have been dating for two years. My father has beaten me several times, to stop me from marrying Nasiru. Around 3.00am on March 11, my mother told me while we were sleeping outside, to go into my father’s room where he was sleeping. She said that I should take his cutlass and kill him. I ran to where my father always keeps his cutlass and went to his room. I cut him on the neck with the cutlass while my mother held his leg,” she told the paper.
