Worry is growing over Taiwo Martins, a 21-year-old British-born Nigerian who went missing with her four-month-old baby son a month ago.
The pair, who live at Leyton, east London, were last seen on Tuesday 7 November, according to the Metropolitan Police and Waltham Forest Council.
The Police and the Council said they are ‘extremely concerned’ for the pair, particularly given that cold weather is forecast.
‘We are keen to make contact with Taiwo to make sure that she and her son are healthy, well and safe,” a council spokesman was quoted in several British publications.
It said the missing mother is black with short dark hair, around 5ft 6in tall, and of slim build, and may be wearing a traditional Nigerian head-dress, known as gele, and robes.
She is also said to be a practising Ahayah’s Witness, a Christian group in the USA.
Ahayah’s Witness are members of an obscure religious movement that has ties with black Israelites. They are of the belief that mainstream Christianity is designed to subjugate the black community.
