Armed men believed to be kidnappers on Friday evening abducted the wife, daughter and driver of a justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Bode Rhodes Vivour, in Edo State.

Mrs. Rhodes Vivour and her daughter and the driver were on their way to Benin City for a wedding ceremony when the abductors struck on the Benin/Ore expressway.

It would be recalled that Justice Rhodes Vivour’s first son, Rotimi was kidnapped in Lagos on September 3, 2012 with N30 million demanded as ransom.

Rotimi was kidnapped about eight months ago while driving around Island, but reportedly traced by police detectives to Festac Town, where the kidnappers were reportedly holed up. He was eventually released following alleged payment of ransom by the family, though police took the credit for his release.

Attempt to speak to the Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command Mr. Moses Eguaveon, on the latest kidnap, was unsuccessful as he did not answer calls put across to him.
