Sport Minister, Dalung announces wife’s death on Facebook

Sport and Youth Development Minister, Mr. Solomon Dalung, on Sunday announced the death of his first wife, Naomi, on his Facebook page.

Dalung in a post he captioned, SUNDAY CORNER with the picture of the deceased, wrote, “For it is appointed for man to live thereafter comes death and judgment says the Holy Bible. While in the Quran, it states that it is appointed that every soul shall test death.

“My heart is heavy, I cannot continue, I lost my first wife, Mrs Briskila this morning. May her soul and the souls of faithful departed rest in the bosom of the Lord, amen. What a black Sunday.”

Condolence messages have continued to pour in. One of them is from former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, who in response to Dalung’s post wrote via his twitter handle, @vinpee: “May her soul Rest In Peace. May God comfort your heart, @SolomonDalung, and console your family.Our sincere condolences.”
