The open letter reproduced below:

Late Ukpanah
Late Ukpanah

The fear that gripped me every day I knew there would be a court session is finally over. The word of Hope from many men of God could not allay the anxiety whether the Judge handling the case would be courageous enough to stand on the truth and set our brother free of the trumped up charges that he kill our dad Albert Ukpanah.

Today my joy knows no bounds, I broke forth with singing and shedding tears of joy when a relative Inem Ekanem called me with the good news that our two (2) years of agony and pain has finally come to an end.

On this journey to demand justice for our only brother, we have lost supposed family and friends. People we ordinarily would not have had to beg for their support deserted us at the point of great need. To these set of people we can only say that without Judas Iscariot there would have been no resurrection. The arm of flesh truly fails except one puts their trust in God. To you we say thank you for the role played.

In the same vain(sic), the journey to justice brought into our lives wonderful friends that became family. God watches over His own from afar. The support you all gave us gives true meaning to the words ” My brothers and sisters from another mother”. Yes, i am referring to all of you that stood by us.

Thank Anietie Dunstan, the fearless lawyer that initiated all the court proceedings,Benjamin Benson for finding Inibehe Effiong for us. Inibehe thank you for believing our story and standing by us and initiating the ‪#‎releaseOduduUkpanah‬ campaign. To Cross Ukpong and Ebony Ebony for honoring the campaign and keeping your profile picture of Odudu to the day of judgement. For our numerous new family who stood behind us to give the campaign the much needed publicity, without you all the campaign would have been dead upon arrival. We love you so much.

Gain Control Over Your School

To my two wonderful Uncles and amazing Aunty, Uncle Etukudo Jimmy Ukpanah, Uncle Micheal George Ukpanah and Aunty Mercy David. God bless you for your sacrifice of love. You never abandoned us and went to court every day even when distance wouldn’t permit us to be physically present. Your generation will experience God’s abundant blessings forever.

To Godswill Akpabio and all who gave support to the sorrow you added to our family after killing our dad, you all will reap in abundance what you sowed. The years of sorrow and agony will not go unpunished.

NEVER AGAIN WILL SUCH PAIN BE FELT BY INNOCENT PEOPLE.
