Slain journalist’s jilted lover arrested in connection with his murder

Three persons have been arrested suspected of being complicit in the murder of Mr. Famous Giobaro, a Desk Editor with Bayelsa State-owned radio station, Glory FM 97.1, who was shot dead in his flat by gunmen in Yenagao, on Easter Sunday.

One of the arrested persons was said to be a lady reportedly involved in a failed romantic relationship with the deceased.

It had previously been speculated that the late journalist received multiple threat messages from the jilted lover.

Late Giobaro was killed in his residence at INEC Road, Kpasia in Yenagoa in the presence of two persons, who were with him around 5.00am.

The deceased’s two children were said to be living with him but had gone to visit their mother who had separated from the late journalist when the incident happened.
