Six in court for recording porn video at Osun-Osogbo Shrine

A Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun capital  has ordered the remand of six persons arraigned over alleged recording pornographic video at Osun-Osogbo shrine.

The accused appeared before Magistrate Isola Omisaden on Monday and they include: Tobiloba Isaac Jolaoso 27, Ladiva Aije 22, Juliet Semion 24, Ahmed Olasunkanmi 23, Adeniran Eritosin 29, and Tunde Jimoh 27.

 The court heard from Police prosecutor, Mr Idoko John that the accused persons around July 25, 2020 at 12.30pm at Osun-Osogbo acted a drama or film which appeared on the face of it to bear a pornographic picture of young girls who were half-naked and thereafter published obscene scene or send it for public consumption.

Idoko alleged that their act denigrated the Osun-Osogbo traditional religion adding that they unlawfully damaged window louvres of the police station upon their arrest.

He submitted that their actions were contrary to and punishable under 516,233,517,451 Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun State 2002.

Arguing their case, they pleaded not guilty to the allegations with them claiming they went to the shrine for excursion and only took pictures.

The proceeding ended with Magistrate Omisaden ordering their remand in Ilesa correctional centre and adjourning the matter till September 17, 2020, for ruling on their bail application.
