Single mother disappears with last born, leaves 7-page suicide note
A single mother, Bunmi Uko, has disappeared with her last child, Seun, after she left suicide note at home for her other two children at Fola Agoro in Somolu Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Bunmi left home early Friday morning, on August 19, 2016 after lying to her sons, Iyiola and Toni that she was going to see someone and promised to return soon.
But after the single mother left a 7-page suicide note she wrote was found by her sons. The eldest Iyiola recently graduated to senior secondary school. He is 13-year old.
Report said Bunmi graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she read sociology. She hails from Mopa in Kogi State and was still married until about three years ago.
It was gathered that she is an Assistant Manager at Forever Living Product, a multi-level marketing company, and was involved in several seminars. In some of the seminars she was even the organiser and the handbills have her picture.
However, the skyrocketing exchange rate has really affected her business. In recent time, Forever Living Product’s prices have skyrocketed, making it nearly impossible for marketers like her to find buyers for the products.
Her family poor living condition caused by the prevailing economic recession may have affected her mental health, making her to drop a suicide note and disappeared into the thin air with her last born who is equally a boy.
It was said that Bunmi’s family members have reported her missing to the police at the Alade police station in Somolu.
