The suspects, Oluwatomiyin Oluwatobiloba and his immediate younger sister( name unknown as at the time of publication) are currently detained at the Ajuwon Police Station and about to be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation Eleweran Abeokuta.
They were alleged to have killed their little sister, Mary, inside their rented apartment, a Boys’ Quarter, at Peaceland Estate at Jolasko in Akute area since 2010, a year after the they all moved into the house.
Mary’s dead body was dumped on a couch(pictured above) in the bedroom in the room and parlour apartment. And as at the time it was discovered on Friday by the house caretaker, it has decomposed to skeleton.
OrijoReporter gathered that the alleged killing came to light after the caretaker broke into the suspects’ apartment to dislodge them over 1-year and three months’ rent arrears and a horrible sight greeted his eyes in the bedroom. He raised alarm, and invited the police from Ajuwon Police Station, who immediately arrested the suspects.
Their landladies, who inherited the house from their late husband and live in the main building were also arrested, and are in detention.
Sources said that the male suspect, Oluwatomiyin Oluwatobiloba rented the apartment and moved in with his younger ones including the deceased. He was said to be a bricklayer but later abandoned the job and started claiming to be a pastor.
“While being interrogated in detention, he and his sister claimed they have a church and when asked who are members of the church, they said just three of them, the two of them and their murdered sister.
“They said it was God that directed them to kill Mary and she will resurrect before the end of 2016,” police sources told OrijoReporter.
