A female church member of Christ Embassy, Mrs. Brenda Nwanguma, who accused a pastor of the church, Pastor Kenechukwu Kanu aka Kaycee of sexual harassment and victimisation, has threatened to sue both the church and the pastor.
Mrs. Nwanguma, a worker with Inner City Mission for Children (ICM4C), a subsidiary of Christ Embassy Church, New Telegraph reports was asked to stay away from work by her employer after she made public her issue with Pastor Kanu in a publication by the paper.
According to New Telegraph, a committee set up by the church to investigate the matter had directed Mrs. Nwanguma not to come to the office.
Having waited with bated breath for her recall, the mother-of-three reportedly grew tired and has decided to take the matter to court.
Her lawyer, Samuel Akpologun disclosed to the paper.
Mrs. Nwanguma had accused the father of two of harassing her sexually, and serial womanizing, claims he denied and countered saying she was a “loose woman who has slept with at least two to three men here. Her husband doesn’t know her. He should go and put his house in order. I’m a man of the cloth. There’re certain things I shouldn’t say.”
Mrs. Nwanguma in return said Pastor Kanu’s statement had no foundation, saying he made it because she turned down his sexual advances.
