A policewoman attached to Igbologun Police Station, Snake Island, Lagos State, Sergeant Mariam Sule, is said to have slumped and died moment after she engaged in a tussle over her husband, Mr. Uche Madumere’s mistress.
The couple lived at 10, Sholake Street, Iju-Ishaga area where the incident happened on November 20, 2017, around 10p.m.
Some neighbours were said to have squealed on Mr. Madumere, a patient medicine dealer, to his police wife, Mariam, accusing him of having a secret affair with one Egnes in their matrimonial home.
It was said that on the fateful day, Egnes came visiting Mr. Madumere, a father of one from another woman. However, on that occasion, Late Mariam who has three children from previous relationship(s) was at home and trouble ensued.
It was gathered that Mariam attacked Egnes, beat her up and when the latter managed to escape the late police woman ran after her.
On returning home, sources said another round of bouts ensued between the deceased, and her husband after which she slumped and died.
It was further gathered that the notice of the police at Paint House Police Station at Iju was brought to the matter by Mariam’s family, who are blaming their son-in-law and his lover for her death, accusing both of murder.
The matter, OrijoReporter was told, has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba.
