Gobir, representing the area in the Senate made the allegation on Tuesday while contributing to the motion on the order President Muhammadu Buhari issued to the military to rid Sokoto of bandits.

The senator said there is no grain of commitment by the military to flush out the menacing group to the point that they shunned invitation in crisis situation.

He added that soldiers of Nigerien military are always stepping into the breach in magnanimity.

“We now rely on the Nigerien Army that is  helping us since Nigerian soldiers have abandoned us.

“The situation is so bad  that we only get help from the Niger Republic, not even from Nigeria.

“We can’t be big for nothing and watch the Nigerien Army to assist us,” Gobir said.
