After banning intending pilgrims from Liberia, Sierra-Leone and Guinea from participating in this year’s pilgrimage, as a result of the outbreak of the disease in their countries. the Saudi government may also bar Nigeria following Ebola cases recorded in the country.

Unconfirmed reports have it that the government had not hidden its intention to extend the same treatment to Nigeria.

It is said that the authority is only monitoring the situation in the country, and is seriously considering shutting the door on intending pilgrims from Nigeria in two months’ time when hajj will commence.

It would be recalled that recently a Saudi Arabian businessman travelled to Sierra Leone, and caught Ebola disease.

The businessman who is in his 40s is currently in a hospital in Jeddah.
