Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi of Offa, the ancient Kwara town that came into the limelight following the killing of 33 persons including nine police officers by a criminal gang while robbing banks, has weighed in on the controversy trailing the sad incident.
The incident sparked controversy after the police arrested the suspects including Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed’s chief of Staff, and PA Political, Abdulwahab Baba Yusuf, and Olalekan Alabi respectively.
Some political thugs of Senate President Bukola Saraki, who are in police custody on account of the killing and robbery, confessed to the crime prompting the police to accuse Saraki of complicity in the heinous act, a charge Oba Gbadamosi countered in an interview with Punch.
The monarch said, “Do you expect somebody like Bukola to ask someone to carry a gun and kill the people he is ruling or steal their wealth? He has been giving us; we do not expect that he would go and rob Offa or ask some people to go and rob us. What will he gain from that?
