Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has expressed his reservation about the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF’s removal of Imama Amapakabo as his assistant.
The NFF relieved Amapakabo of the job and in his place, named former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo.
Rohr in an interview with BBC journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, said it is within the right of the football body to hire and fire, however he hinted of his dissatisfaction with the ex-junior international and former goal tender’s sack.
“I don’t know why Amapakabo has been removed. I worked very well with him. He did a very good job with me.
“I regret his departure. But since the NFF have the right to take this decision, there is nothing that I can do about it,” Punchng.com quoted the Franco-German as saying.
