Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has given advice to men on how to have successful marriage.
Osinbajo, who is married to the granddaughter of Late Obafemi Awolowo, Dolapo(nee Soyode) gave the advice on Saturday at the wedding of the daughter of former governor of Osun State, Chief Bisi Akande, Miss Wuraola Akande, and Dr. Olawale Sholabi at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan.
The father of three urged men to live up to their responsibilities as husband.
He said, “Men are supposed to see their wives as `Help Meet’ and not `Help Mate. When I say `help meet’, it means she will fill the gap where there is need for it and not leaving your responsibilities to her.
“The aim of marriage is companionship, which must be a life-long experience. There are reasons for exhibitions like marriage.
The major reason is to find a partner whom one can spend the rest of his or her life with.”
Some of the dignitaries at the event include, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Gov. Ibikunle Amosun, his Ondo and Osun counterparts, Rotimi Akeredolu and Rauf Aregbesola respectively.
