The home front of Professor Richard Akindele. the lecture at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, in sex scandal is said to be in gloom.

Punch reported that the scandal has cast a pall of grief on the house at the University Staff Quarters, and caused the alleged Professor’s wife heartache.
The report suggested that Mrs. Akindele had been indoor since the audio tape of her husband’s conversation with a female student demanding sex from the student in return for mark leaked.
The paper said it gleaned from a source that the distraught woman had been playing host to members of the church she attends, who have been visiting and offering her words of consolation.
It added that the man at the centre of the scandal may have gone hiding.
Quoting anonymous source, the publication wrote: “The prof is not in the office. He has not been coming since his alleged conversation with a female student went viral. I don’t know where he is, but he has finished his sabbatical and has come back to the campus before this scandal broke out.”
