Our correspondent gathered that Bucknor, who was a presenter with Inspiration FM, died on Monday night in her home.

Described as an all-round media professional, singer, actress, lawyer and activist, she had reportedly passed on after battling with sickle cell crisis for about three weeks.

The news of her death, which is still trending online, has thrown many Nigerians, including her colleagues, friends and associates, in deep mourning.

Also, unable to contain their grief, some celebrities and popular artistes have since flooded the social media with tributes to the deceased. In one of them, singer Simi said that Bucknor’s death almost struck numb with shock. “I am so sad. Tosyn is light that will never dim because she loved to help other people.”

Another popular OAP, Toke Makinwa, in a statement posted on Instagram, which also betrayed her sadness, recalled her meeting with the deceased. She wrote, “I met you in 1999. We started our radio careers at the same time and I had to leave for a while. But you forged ahead and became this superstar. I would listen to you on my way to work in the bank and I got the courage to come back.

“I celebrate you today, Tosyn. You lived, you loved and you fought hard. We love you, but God needs you home.”

Also, other celebrities and artistes, such as Tuface Idibia, Phyno, Aphrodija, Small Doctor and Ufuoma McDermott, to mention a few, have reacted to Bucknor’s passage.
