Kalu, who in November 2016 decamped to the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress claimed he donated N500 million to PDP in its early stage of formation and another N100 million to support the election of President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The former Governor who governed Abia state under the platform of PDP between 1999 to 2007 disclosed this on Monday in Washington DC, in USA at a dinner where he said that if PDP were to be a company, he owned 90 percent share in it.

His word, “ I wasn’t in government in 1998 when I gave out such amount of money, How many Nigerians would have done that? Yet the same government, the same PDP, took my bank, took my airline, took my oil licence to put me out of business entirely just because I proposed that I must run for president in 2007 and also opposed the 3rd term agenda of Obasanjo.”
