A Lagos housewife battling uterine fibroid built two houses for a Celestial Church of Christ pastor simply identified as Ayoola, and lost a total sum of N70m to him in a failed attempt to get cured of the disease.
The 45-year-old suspect, was arrested by detectives attached to the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) Ikoyi.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP), Ngozi Braide, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner of Police in charge of the SFU, Mr. Ibrahim Larmode, Pastor Ayoola was arrested on April 5 at Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Braide said the victim has had fibroid for about 14 years, and was also experiencing regular blood flow, which was abnormal.
She added that the victim refused to accept orthodox doctors’ advice to get rid of the disease through surgery, and in 2007 was introduced to Ayoola by a woman.
Narrating all that happened, Braide said the pastor charged the victim N98,000 when she was brought before him. And after collecting the money, he prepared some concoctions for her, which stopped the regular blood flow, adding that immediately the blood flow stopped, the victim started seeing Ayoola as her saviour.
Along the line, the alleged pastor from hell instructed his victim to stop having sex with her husband saying that if she had sex with him, the blood would continue.
“Ayoola also lied to the woman that her husband belonged to different secret cults. He told her that each time she had sex with her husband, his money would increase. He said they would have to kill the victim’s husband in order for her to have and live a better life,” Braide said.
Speaking further, Braide explained that Ayoola at a point gave his victim’s children some concoction after he told their mother to bring them for spiritual cleansing so as not be killed by their father.
And two days after drinking the concoction, the only son of the victim was said to have started to display signs of madness.
It was said that the suspect made his victim to build two houses for him. One at Ijoko in Sango area of Ogun State and another in Ekiti State, his home town.
Ayoola also requested for a Toyota Highlander, and a Lexus Jeep, which he got.
However, nemesis caught up with Ayoola when one of the victim’s daughters, who gave him N20 million told her father about the pastor and her mother’s entrapment.
The family lodged a complaint at SFU and Ayoola was arrested.
