PASTOR ARRESTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY

A man who claimed to be a pastor has been arrested in Abeokuta for conning and robbing a client of his.

Ndubuisi Ignatius, a spiritual father to the family of one James Nwosu in Agbara area of Ogun State carried out the heinous act when he held the family hostage and robbed them of a cash sum of N3.7 million at gunpoint. Ignatius was eventually apprehended by the police.

Speaking at the Police Headquarters, the Ogun State Police Commissioner, Ikemefuna Okoye explained that the suspect masked himself and robbed the victims but was later arrested through the victim’s phones which he also stole.

He was said to have demanded for another one million naira from his victims, claiming to have a spiritual power to apprehend the culprits.

According to Commissioner Okoye, the cash sum of three million, one hundred and ninety thousand naira has been recovered from Ignatius. Okoye also added that Ignatius will soon appear in court.
