Lawyer Mike Ozekhome (SAN) has said something to the effect that he has dossier on beleaguered acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu.
Openly Ozekhome and Magu, who is being investigated by Justice Ayo Salami led-Presidential panel, have been feuding with the troubled anti-graft czar overseeing the seizure of the prominent lawyer’s N75m by the EFCC, which was later overruled by the court at his(Ozekhome’s) instance.
On Tuesday, Ozekhome appeared before the panel to testify against the suspended EFCC boss, and submitted six exhibits, including two video clips and some documents, according to Punchng.com.
His appearance, the report said, angered Magu’s lawyer, Mr Tosin Ojaomo, who accused him of vendetta and the panel of having a predetermined outcome.
In response to Ojaomo’s outburst, Ozekhome gave a low-down of all he did at the panel hinting that he has a dossier on Magu.
“All I did at the panel was to tender some documents and some CDs, which contained videos. One of them is a video where I was given a standing ovation at an event where I advised Magu on how to fight corruption. It was about telling them not to do a one-sided anti-graft war, where you arrest activists and leave those in government.
“I also tendered a letter dated May 2017, which I wrote to the then acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. In the letter, I raised 12 questions as to where the recovered loot and property were and if the property had been sold, to who and for how much. Tell Ojaomo to relax and that I have not yet started,” the paper quoted him as saying.
