The election initially held on Saturday had the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke recording 254, 698 while his counterpart, the All Progressive Congress candidate, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola got 254,345.

On the grounds that the cancellation of votes in seven polling units in four councils outweighed the difference of three hundred fifty three between the two parties, Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, declared the election inconclusive.

However, Omisore who came distant third and has become a beautiful bride with both PDP and APC approaching him for his support giving that two of the councils, Ife North and Ife South are his stronghold.

His father, Oba David Omisore, is the ruler of Garage Olode, a town in Ife South, where election in two units were cancelled where his father is a monarch

The Senate President Bukola Saraki on Monday visited the SDP candidate in Ife on Monday to enlist his support for Adeleke with report rife that APC chieftains have equally approached Omisore to solicit his support for Oyetola.

Speaking during Saraki’s visit, Omisore said, “I have given my programmes to both APC and PDP. My programme is like this; payment of salaries and pensions. Good governance is what is important to me.

“Anyone between the two that will do that will get my support. I am passionate about Osun and my interest is the welfare of the people of this state. I have told those sent to me. At the appropriate time, we will tell you where we are going.”
