A new twist has emerged in the reported allegation by one Mrs. Emily Richard-Obire that Osun State judge, Justice Olamide Oloyede snatched her husband after a group said the Osun judge’s lover had long divorced the wife over adultery.
Justice Olamide Oloyede, who initiated a petition calling for the removal of the state Governor, Ogeni Rauf Aregbesola over fraud has come under attack from a section of politicians and their supporters.
Earlier in the week, a twist was added to the unfolding drama when one Mrs. Emily Richard-Obire(pictured above) claiming to be the wife of Mr. Richard Obire, Justice Oloyede’s lover, petitioned the National Judicial Council, NJC, accusing the Osun judge of snatching her husband and father of her four children.
Consequently, NJC issued query to Justice Oloyede.
OrijoReporter exclusively got Mrs. Richard-Obire’s picture and gathered that she graduated from Nnamdi Azikwe University in 1986.
However, Justice Oloyede(pictured right) seems to have hit back at her adversaries after a group, the Civil Societies Coalition for Emancipation of Osun said in a statement made available to OrijoReporter that it had investigated and found out that Justice (Mrs.) L.A.M Folami of Ikeja High Court had since dissolved the marriage between Mrs. Emily and her former husband, Richard-Obire, adding that latter was free to fall in love with anybody he chooses.
Signed by the group’s chairman and its director of mobilisation, Adeniyi Sulaiman and Rev. Theophilus Ayodeji respectively, the statement reads in part: “Our group has thoroughly investigated that matter and found out that Mr. Falana was a lawyer to Mrs. Richard-Obire in the divorce case filed with her husband, Mr. Ricahrd Obire in 2012 at an Ikeja High Court in Lagos.
“Already, the case with suit number ID/473HD/2012 has been decided and the court, presided over by Justice (Mrs) L.A.M Folami, had legally dissolved this marriage between Mrs. Emily and her former husband and so the case remained closed.
“We believe that by the law of the federation, Mr. Obire has the right in the world to love whomever he wants and to marry anyone without any prejudice.
“Our group has it on good authority that the Osun judge’s lover, Mr. Richard Obire had to file a divorce case due to adultery after he caught his wife (Emily) having an extra- marital affair in Ikeja, Lagos State in year 2010.”
