Sympathisers have flooded Facebook to commiserate with the family of a 23-year-old Nigerian, Prince Tajirin Emiko, a nephew of Olu of Warri, who was found shot dead last Monday inside his car by unknown gunmen in Houston, Texas, United States.
Tajirin’s father, Prince Yemi Emiko, first took to Facebook on September 23 to share the anguish of losing his beloved son, “Teejay! Gosh my dude! You left us so broken! Devastated! But a million tears can never bring you back! We are already learning that we must live with this pain…”
The grieving father returned to his Facebook handle on Saturday with the post:”Teejay! Been trying so hard not to cry, cos you always told me “dad, no matter how low it gets, life goes on”! Yes life goes on, but how lower can it get now? We miss you so bad!!!”
Condolences flowed in on Facebook, with one Kingsley Akeni posting: “My very deep condolences on this painful loss. May his soul rest in peace…”
Another Facebook user, Idong Okorodudu wrote: “Accept our heart felt condolences. Hard to believe he is gone.”
In his/her condolence message, another Facebook friend of the bereaved father, Raphael Omamurhomu Eyarefe posted: “My condolences sir. But be consoled with knowing that God gives, God takes. He is the Supreme Being; OMNI-KNOW-IT-ALL, OMNI-EVERYTHING! May soul and souls of other faithful departed through the mercy of God RIP.”
Expressing his/her own condolence on the passing of Prince Yemi Emiko’s son, another user, Blessing Awani wrote: “My big brother. This is tragic n I am sincerely very, very sad. May his soul rest with God n may He give u n the entire family strength. Just remember that u r not alone on this. We share d grief.”
