Trinity International College, Ofada, also in Ogun State has expelled the daughter of former Commissioner for Information in Ogun State, Mr. Niran Malaolu, Oluwademilade Malaolu, a Senior Secondary (SS3) student, over allegations that she bullied some SS1 students and posted a nude video of her victims, twenty nine of them online.
The expulsion, however, triggered a confrontation between the school and Mr. Malaolu, as the commissioner in the administration of ex-governor Gbenga Daniel, alleged that his daughter was unjustly expelled, The Sun reports.
According to the paper, trouble erupted on June 30 in the boarding school after a hand fan belonging to a student was discovered missing in the night and Oluwademilade was enlisted in the search.
She was accused of marching out twenty nine SS1 students ostensibly who were already on their beds and meted out punishments on them causing some bodily harm.
The school management also said the ex-commissioner’s daughter videoed her victims’ nudity with her camera phone and posted it online, an allegation Mr. Malaolu punctured, claiming it was unsubstantiated and called on the school to reverse itself in an interview he granted the publication.
“The phone with my daughter has no SIM card and is incapable of posting anything online. Besides, every equipment capable of posting materials online have identifiable IP address. Such IP addresses are traceable with location, date and time. The investigators probably misled the college administrator as they did the entire board,” he told the paper.
