Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has denied allegation that he ordered the arrest of musician Chidi Opara, who in his yet-be-released record reportedly sings the praise of detained Biafra protagonist, and Radio Biafra’s director, Nnamdi Kanu.
Prior to Okorocha’s denial, veteran highlife musician, Ferdinand ‘Dansatch’ Chukwuemeka Opara accused the Imo State governor of being behind the alleged arrest of his first son, Chidi Opara on Tuesday inside a recording studio at Nekede, an Owerri outskirt, where he was recording his new album, which reportedly is dedicated to Kanu.
Denying the allegation, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Okorocha, Sam Onwuemeodo said, “Gov. Okorocha is too busy and sophisticated to be interested in what music anybody is producing. He will in all honesty like to listen to such music if it’s worth his attention.”
