Yusuf was shot dead by gunmen on Thursday, who waylaid him in his car   along the Igboora – Eruwa road in Oyo State.

The police are casting their net wider in their search for his killers and are reportedly questioning the two police escorts with him when he was killed.

They have also looked at the direction of some of the deceased’s workers who were said to have ripped off his company and helped themselves with the loot.

“However, an interesting twist to the story was that the deceased probably had earlier detected an alleged book keeping records fraud in his Lagos office which subsequently allegedly led to the burning/destruction of some financial/book keeping records.

“In addition to other possible motives, a plausible nexus is therefore being suspected between the fire incident and the attack on the deceased.

“Meanwhile, some of the staff and his two police escorts are being questioned by a team of crack detectives from the homicide section of State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID Iyaganku, Ibadan with a view of finding and apprehending the fleeing suspects who wreaked the heinous act,” the police spokesman in Oyo State, Olugbenga Fadeyi, a Superintendent of Police ( SP) said.
