Chairman of Ondo State All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship Primary Election Committee, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, has averred that no election in the world is devoid of imperfection.
Ondo APC governorship primary is scheduled for Monday(today) with about twelve persons including Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu, having their hats in the ring.
Except for Akeredelou, other aspirant are against the indirect primary adopted by the party and in favour of direct mode.
Six of them approached Bello, requesting he postponed the election ostensibly to allow time to harmonise the register of the delegates to which the governor replied that it was not in his place to accede to their request, citing elections are not perfect anywhere in the world and lack of perogative.
He said, “I don’t have the power to postpone Monday’s (today) primaries. We will go ahead with the exercise. “There is no perfect election anywhere, even in advanced countries like the United States of America.”
