e-commerce platform, aniwura.com, launched
An e-commerce platform, aniwura.com, an online multi-dimensional marketplace for both local and global businesses has been launched in Lagos.
The pre launch of aniwura.com, a first-of-its-kind in Nigeria ‘phygital’ e-commerce marketplace with a focus on connecting businesses globally with a broad selection of products and services, was last Friday hosted at its headquarter at Okota in Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
Speaking at the occasion, CEO, aniwura.com, Princess Omolara Iwayemi Ogomudia said, “aniwura.com is an online multidimensional marketplace and a marketing platform where sellers and buyers meet to transact businesses.
“aniwura.com would serve as a hub where the world can have access to the premium products and services, especially, access to the Nigerian domestic market. It will also create a gateway for the international markets to gain access into the Nigeria lucrative markets.
“It is an SME kind of platform, you can actually go online yourself and put your profile but if you are a paid member we follow up to ensure we give you proper profiling because that is one of those things that can sell businesses. If you have all it takes to be successful but you are not properly profiled, and a customer from somewhere in China goes on the platform looking for something but is not impressed with your profile, he would move on. So what our account executives will do for paid member is to make sure that such profile is put in proper perspective.”
Princess Ogomudia said the key differentiator between aniwura.com and other e-commerce platforms in the country is that it does not focus on revenue but on creating avenue for Nigerian(nay African) businesses to join their foreign counterparts who have moved online and stopped owning shops.
She stated that the process of merchant selections and registration on the site has commenced, adding that transactions on the e-platform will begin before the end of the last quarter of the year.
Explaining that transaction on aniwura.com is safe and painless, Princess Ogomudia said, “We created a geo-search feature on aniwura.com to enable buyers to find products nearest to their locations in order to build trust with buyers. We also have a verification feature where sellers need to fulfill our identification process to get verified.
“We will verify everybody on the platform, and in industry that required certification we are going to make sure that their certifications are verified.”
