Nigerian teenage student stabbed to death in London
A youth gang has stabbed a Nigerian teenage student, Fola Orebiyi, to death in London after chasing him on their bicycles.
Fola, who was 17 years old and an A-level student at Chelsea Academy was reportedly killed in front of horrified London tourists and passers-by while trying to flee.
Evening Standard reports that the deceased was stabbed in the night, and the incident happened in the night in London west at Portobello Road, near busy pubs and restaurants.
People who knew the deceased according to the report said he abstained from violence and was a brilliant student.
One of them, Afaf Badr, whose son studied with the teenager said:”He was a good, very clever boy.
“He was not involved in gangs and it is a tragedy that someone who was genuinely a good person gets caught up in this.
“We are all devastated and my son and all of us are grieving.”
The report said the police have launched a murder investigation but no arrests has been made.
