Bereaved sister suggests customers behind brother, Heritage Bank manager’s murder

Mrs Lola Abegunde, elder sister of murdered Heritage Bank manager, Segun-George Modupe, who headed the bank branch in Otun-Ekiti in Moba Local Government area of Ekiti State, and was gruesomely killed by suspected gunmen alongside three others last week, has said customers may have been involved in her brother’s killing.

Mrs. Abegunde insinuated this in an interview she granted New Telegraph during the internment of the late Heritage Bank manager’s remains in his uncompleted building in Oba- Ile in Akure North Local Government area of Ondo State.

“I don’t know where the death came from but he had an issue with some customers in the bank, he had started paying the money back. I will always miss him. I usually call him ‘Odidi omo’.

“Anywhere I saw him, I used to sing that song for him. He was my friend, my brother, my dad. He was everything to me,” Mrs Abegunde told the paper.
