It has emerged that sacked Chairman of Presidential Task Team on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, is a national of two other countries apart from Nigeria.

The Acting Comptroller General of Immigration, Mohammed Babandede, made this known on Thursday at the ongoing House of Representatives adhoc committee’s probe of the surreptitious Maina’s reinstatement into the public service.
Babandede, who appeared before the committee disclosed that the fugitive has three international passports including American green card.
Meanwhile, Mr. Abubakar Magaji, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, where Maina was posted to as a Director has accepted responsibility for the fugitive’s reinstatement.
Magaji blamed himself for the controversial reinstatement during his appearance before the House committee alongside the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita.
He said, “Whatever the Interior Ministry has done wrongly in accordance with the way the administrative matter has been done to the end of this matter, I take responsibility because I cannot reject.
“I am the permanent secretary, head of administration and I take responsibility for any administrative wrongdoing that Ministry of Interior has done.”
