Melaye graduated with 3rd class, ABU VC tells Senate

The Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Professor Ibrahim Garba has cleared the air on the controversy surrounding the first degree certificate, Senator Dino Melaye parades.

Professor Garba, who on Monday appeared before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions told the Senator Samuel Anyanwu led-committee that Senator Melaye graduated from the institution in 2000 with third class in Geography and was conferred with Bachelor of Arts( Honours).

He said the controversial senator was a student of ABU with the name Jonah Daniel Melaye.

The VC was summoned by the senate following the alleged certificate forgery allegation levelled against Senator Melaye by Sahara Reporters.
