The prosecutor, Joseph Ebuseremen, told the court that the accused and Monica(pictured right) were having affair until the former got married.
Ebuseremen said the victim ended the relationship when Ayan got married, adding that the accused was infuriated by her decision to opt out.

He said Ayan continued to pester Monica to reconsider her decision, and invited her to a hotel where she drugged her and took pictures of her nakedness which he uploaded to social media websites.

Ebuseremen alleged that, the accused committed an offence of cyber-stalking and domestic violence against Monica.

He added that the offence is punishable under Section 24 of Cyber Crime (prohibition prevention, E.T.C) Act Laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria 2015.

Ayan, who according to him attended Ondo State Polytechnic and read Mechanical Engineering was remanded following the prosecutor’s application.

Ebuseremen applied that the accused be remanded in prison and that his charge has been sent to the Federal High Court, since the court lacked jurisdiction to entertain the case.

Consequently, Chief Magistrate Idowu Ayenimo remanded the accused in prison custody pending the receipt of the new date of his arraignment in a Federal High Court while adjourning the case to March 3 for mention.
