Man stabbed to death in fight over girlfriend

A twenty-five year-old man, Matthew Iyede, has met his untimely death at Eku, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State in a brutal contest for a girl’s heart.

The deceased(pictured both alive and late) was stabbed to death by three friends in a fight over a ‘girlfriend’ on Sunday morning at a popular bar, Blue Sea Restaurant and Bar, in Eku near Delta State University Abraka, Punch reported.

It said late Matthew’s assailants led by one Ese Uku ambushed him on Sunday after he failed to heed their warning to stay away from a woman he and one of them was dating.

“He was stabbed at a plaza close to Eku Town Hall. He was stabbed over a ‘girl’. Those involved are at large. Names of the suspected murderers have been submitted to the police,” a relation to the victim told the paper.
