The deceased, who tied the nuptial knot about three months ago was cut down in his prime at the age of 28 by one Osaraa popularly known as Nokia, the Sun reports.

It said, according to 65-year-old Mr. Ewuzie, father of the deceased, his son was coming from vigil mass at St Paul’s Catholic Church, Umuru, on Christmas eve’s night when he heard a voice that resembled that of a person he knew and put on the torch of his Nokia phone to identify the person.

The report said the voice happened to be that of Nokia, who took offence at the torch pointed at his direction. And in anger, knocked off the phone from the hand of the victim.

In the process of knocking off the phone, the cap of the suspect reportedly fell off from his head, which made him to become seriously furious, and in the new fury he used a knife to stab Daniel multiple times.

The distraught father told the paper, “When I went to Nokia after he was apprehended and asked him why he stabbed my son, he said my son knocked off his cap from his head. That was his only reason for stabbing my only son to death.”
