MAN SHOT DEAD AT BARBING SALON

A 46-year-old man, Yinka Mamowora, has been shot dead while he was cutting his hair at a barbing salon near his house in Oshodi, Lagos.

An Ogun Polytechnic graduate and a relative of Senator Olurunnimbe Mamora, former Lagos East representative in the senate, the deceased popularly called Mamok was an aide of the treasurer of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Lagos chapter, Musiliu Akinsanya, otherwise known as MC Oluomo.mamok 10

It was said that Mamok’s attackers numbered no less than seven, stormed Mosaku Street where he was cutting his hair at a barbing salon near his house on motorcycles, and fired shots at him on sighting him.

After killing Mamok, eyewitness said his assailants dragged his dead body out of the salon and laid it on the roof of his Honda car before they took flight.
Dozens of the deceased’s friends have meanwhile taken to his Facebook page to leave their condolences.

One Saliu Ere wrote: “R.I.P to my big bro Olayinka Mamowora..such a loss..A giant among giants..The hardest and bravest man i`d known.. 20yrs all the way from Ogun to Dublin… Chatted few days ago on bbm bubbly nd encouraging as ever..I am always saddened by the death of a good person. It is from this sadness that a feeling of gratitude emerges. I feel honored to have known him and blessed that his passing serves as a reminder to us all that life is very short.. The eagle has fallen. RUGGED MAN.”
